EMDR & Brainspotting: How Does It Help?
EMDR
EMDR uses eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help people process traumatic or distressing experiences.
It can be helpful for performance anxiety because it can help people to identify and process any negative experiences or beliefs that may be contributing to their anxiety.
By processing and releasing these negative experiences, people can reduce their anxiety and improve their performance.
.
Brainspotting
Brainspotting identifies and focuses on a "brainspot," or a point in the visual field that correlates with a specific emotion or physical sensation.
By directing attention to the brainspot, the client can explore the underlying emotions and experiences that may be contributing to the performance anxiety.
This can help the person to process and release the emotional blocks that may be holding them back.
